Dao Van has spent over 20 years in the professional beauty industry serving her wonderful clients and continuously learning and developing skills in the latest trends and technology. Since 2022 she has expanded her service and team offerings at a newly built beauty studio and academy in Oakville Ontario.
Her passion for teaching was inspired by her love of helping others find their beauty potential. As an educator, she loves sharing her knowledge with students who are eager to learn new skills and techniques that will help them build confidence and success in the salon industry. The academy is equipped with the latest equipment and supplies and taught in a clean open learning environment that allows students to practice what they learn in class through hands-on experience.

Fancy volume is also known as Mega Russian. This technique is the latest development in the eyelash industry. Created to provide clients with the increased volume they demand without damaging the natural lashes.
These volume lashes are superfine and incredibly light weight, 2-8 lashes can be applied per natural lash to create amazing mega volume on any type of eyelash to create that dramatic diva look.

A luxurious treatment that enhances natural lashes and lash health. This premium service lifts, curls, and defines your natural lashes, giving a fresh, youthful, and wide-awake look that lasts for weeks with no extensions or mascara needed.
At Dao Vanity, we proudly use a Korean premium lash lift, a new-generation formula designed to nourish and protect natural lashes. Unlike the traditional lash lift, which is a stronger, more chemical-based solution, the Korean formula is gentler and cysteamine-based, helping your lashes retain moisture and stay conditioned. The two-step lifting techniques create a soft, smooth, and natural curl from roots to tip that lasts 8-10 weeks. In contrast, the traditional lash lift works faster but can be harsh, often causing dryness or over-processing, with the results lasting only 4-6 weeks.
As a student, you do not need any prerequisite to learn this course! 1:1 and small group allow our students to have hands-on practice on live models and salon experience.

To become officially certified by Miso Lee under Dao Vanity Beauty Studio & Academy, students will complete and submit photos of three successful lash lift & tint models after the training for evaluation.
Once the required standard is achieved, certification will be awarded.
We understand that every student learns at their own pace. Previous students are always welcome to join future training sessions for additional practice, refreshers, and continued growth.
Training is available on Sundays and Mondays. We will coordinate with you to choose a date that works best for both you, models and Miso Lee.

Microblading is a semi-permanent makeup technique that is used to create natural-looking eyebrows. It’s done manually using a handheld tool with very fine needles, shaped like a blade, to recreate stroke-like hair.
This is ideal for clients who are looking to fill in patchy, thin, and/or uneven eyebrows for the most natural-looking results.
As a student, you do not need any prerequisite to learn this course! Here, you will learn all about the eyebrow theory, eyebrow mapping, pigmentation, and have a chance for hands-on practice on mannequins & live models.
All students will be certified after completing all assignments and submitting three live models.
All materials are provided during the training, including the student manual, kit, live models, and ongoing support.

Powdered brow is a different method for achieving the look of fuller eyebrows.
This semi-permanent technique uses a handheld machine to create the perfect soft makeup look, similar to powder makeup.
This method can be combined with the microblading technique to create an entirely different look that is fluffy, more natural, and seamless, we call it Ombré eyebrows.
This is perfect for clients who draw on their eyebrows every day, correct sparse and/or over-plucked eyebrows, refine eyebrow shape, definition, and lift for a more youthful look.
